You want to paint what's in front of you, but you don't know where to begin.
- You stand at the edge of a forest, or in your own garden, and you don't know where to begin simplifying it.
- Every green looks the same in the tube, and nothing you mix looks like the trees you're standing under.
- You want to capture that soft glow of light and atmosphere, but your painting keeps feeling flat.
- You have pages of sketches and ideas, but struggle to take the next step and turn them into finished paint.
You don't need more supplies. You need a way of seeing, and a process you trust enough to finish the page.
Hey, I'm Kateryna!
I’m a self-taught gouache artist inspired by nature and the little details that are easy to miss. Painting, for me, is a way to slow down and notice the beauty around me.
As a self-taught artist, I’ve learned through observation, experimentation, and practice. I don’t think of painting as a set of rules to memorize, but as a way of learning to see.
And that’s what I want to share with you in this course. Not a dry, academic approach, but the way I actually think when I paint: what I notice, what I leave out, how I choose colors, and how I turn what I see into a painting.
When you complete this course, you’ll develop:
Confidence with Gouache
Understand your materials, master brushstrokes, mix beautiful natural colors, and use gouache with confidence.
The Ability to Paint What You See
Learn how to simplify nature, capture light, texture, and depth, and turn everyday inspiration into expressive paintings.
A Habit of Painting
Build a regular painting practice, gain confidence through repetition, and make painting a natural part of your everyday life.
